Nov 18th, 2018 / Featured Guest Violinist Martha Potter Kim

Featured Musicians of our November 18th, 2018 / 3pm Open Mic Classical will be violinist Martha Potter Kim, and pianist Elizabeth Tipton.

Martha Potter Kim recently retired from the Cape Symphony with which she played for 25 years, and continues to play on the Cape with the Falmouth Chamber Players Orchestra and various other chamber musicians.

Martha plays on a violin made by Andrea Guarneri in 1690.

Not only you will enjoy the sound of an original Guarneri, but you will have a chance to hear the story about her violin.

Martha will play Sonata in B-flat major by W.A. Mozart with pianist Elizabeth Tipton.

Elizabeth Hughes Tipton, a native of Wisconsin, holds graduate degrees in performance from the Juilliard School of Music with post graduate work at Columbia Teachers college in N.Y.C. After a thirty year career as performer teacher in Westfield, N.J. she moved to Cape Cod with her husband and is now on the faculty of The Cape Cod Conservatory of Music and Art in Falmouth. She has performed extensively as a soloist, in chamber music ensembles and as a collaborative pianist in New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts.
