Featured Musicians of our October 21st, 2018 / 3pm Open Mic Classical will be:

Kaeza Fearn and her father Kenneth Fearn have been concertizing on Cape Cod for several years, and will offer a sampling of music related to themes appropriate for the Halloween time of year.

Kaeza Fearn circulates the worlds of music, dance, sacred ritual and community experiences. She finds joy performing, composing, teaching, facilitating sacred circle dance and other creative group activities as well as coordinating festivals, summits and special events. A faculty member at Winchester Community Music School, Kaeza is also on the staff at The Shift Network and serves as Music Director at the Unitarian First Parish Church in Taunton. She is Assistant Editor of Christine Cacioppo Piano Books, does website and newsletter design for organizations and helps friends to realize their dreams. She is also part of a vibrant, committed team building the Sacred Circle Dance movement globally. She has a Masters in Music from The Hartt School. kaezafearn.com

Pianist Kenneth Fearn has performed and premiered a substantial number of modern works, including the first New York performance of Bernd Alois Zimmermann’s Monologue (Alice Tully Hall) and Curt Cacioppo’s Contrapuntal Fantasy on ‘Amazing Grace’ (Capstone Records). His musical interests encompass performances of 18th and 19th century works on historical as well as modern pianos both here and abroad. A native of Chicago, he received his musical training at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, the Yale University School of Music and Manhattan School of Music. In 1969 he joined the music faculty of Smith College, where he taught piano and courses in performance practice and piano literature until his retirement in 2005. He continues to pursue his musical activities on Cape Cod, where he performs regularly. He is Music Director of the Orleans Historical Society, and has been a regular presenter at the Orleans Library Lifetime Learning series of lectures. He lives in Orleans with his wife Paula, also a pianist.
