Music & More Series at the Cape Cod Museum of Art Sunday, March 12th, 2017 / 2pm-3pm Tickets at the door: $15 Visit the museum's website: http://www.ccmoa.org/klarinetista-and-friends Klarinetista & Friends is a diverse ensemble of Cape musicians galavanting between the lines of classical & jazz. Headed by Monika Woods (winner of Cape Symphony's Soloist competition) expect some unusual melodies from a broad range of centuries, and geographies, with some original compositions tossed into the sonic salad. Elizabeth Tipton has graduate degrees in performance from the Juilliard School of Music with post graduate work at Columbia Teachers College in N.Y.C. She has performed extensively as a soloist, in chamber music ensembles and as a collaborative pianist. She is on the faculty of the Cape Cod Conservatory of Music and Art in Falmouth. Abigail Field is a classically trained pianist, and has been playing for over 28 years. She won the Ezra Rachlin award for excellence at the Rockport Opera House in Maine. Abby performs as a soloist and in chamber ensembles, most recently being a member of the Vienna Piano Trio in Maine, before moving to Cape Cod. Abby has maintained a private teaching studio for the past 15 years, and has taught music at two private schools, and recorded for films, as well as accompanying singers. Lisa Gross has been playing music since the age of 10 years old. She studied both cello and piano. She has recently turned to composing for music videos. You can follow her compositions on YouTube.com or Twitter under Lisa Gross Piano. Transylvanian born clarinetist, Mónika Woods received her musical training at the prestigiuos Gh. Dima Music Academy, where she graduated with high honors and a Masters in Stylistics of Clarinet Performance. Monika Woods, has been featured by Cape Symphony, Chatham Chorale, among others. She is founder of Open Mic Classical, and teaches at her studio in Brewster.
